Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A barn interior with boors dancing and making music by Benjamin Gerritsz. Cuyp was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2010. It changed hands for a price of EUR 4,750.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Benjamin Gerritsz. Cuyp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gegenstücke: Schlachtfest vor einem Wirtshaus - Würfelnde Soldaten und Reiter vor einem Marketenderzelt. in March 2007 with an auction result of CHF 57,600.00 (€ 35,514.40).

Die Arbeit A barn interior with boors dancing and making music von Benjamin Gerritsz. Cuyp kam im November 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 4.750,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Benjamin Gerritsz. Cuyp auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gegenstücke: Schlachtfest vor einem Wirtshaus - Würfelnde Soldaten und Reiter vor einem Marketenderzelt. im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 57.600,00 (€ 35.514,40).
