Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two works: Illustrations for Crime and Punishment by Benjamin D. Kopman was sold in the The Estate of Mrs. Harry N. Abrams auction at Phillips in New York in April 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 300.00 – 400.00, the actual price achieved of USD 313.00 (€ 235.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benjamin D. Kopman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman dressing her hair in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,705.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two works: Illustrations for Crime and Punishment von Benjamin D. Kopman wurde im April 2010 in der Auktion The Estate of Mrs. Harry N. Abrams bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 300,00 – 400,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 313,00 (€ 235,30) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Benjamin D. Kopman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman dressing her hair im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.705,37).
