The work Still Life with Pitcher and Fruit by Benjamin D. Kopman was worth USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,879.42) to a buyer in April 2010. This price was achieved in the auction The Estate of Mrs. Harry N. Abrams at Phillips in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 600.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Benjamin D. Kopman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Woman dressing her hair sold at auction in July 2010 with the realized price of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,705.37).
