Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rainer M. Rilke, For the Sake of a Single Verse by Ben Shahn was sold in the The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples: Online auction at Christies in New York in April this year. The price achieved of USD 2,268.00 (€ 2,054.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ben Shahn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scabbies are Welcome in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 262,400.00 (€ 206,825.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rainer M. Rilke, For the Sake of a Single Verse von Ben Shahn wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples: Online bei Christies in New York versteigert.
