Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Ben Akkerman was sold in the TWENTIETH CENTURY ART auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2000. The price achieved of NLG 28,084.80 (€ 11,984.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ben Akkerman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2013 for EUR 39,900.00.

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ben Akkerman wurde im Juni 2000 in der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von NLG 28.084,80 (€ 11.984,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit NLG 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ben Akkerman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2013 für EUR 39.900,00 versteigert wurde.
