Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art, which included this untitled work by Ben Akkerman. The price achieved of EUR 5,975.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ben Akkerman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in April 2013 with an auction result of EUR 39,900.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2004 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ben Akkerman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.975,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ben Akkerman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 39.900,00.
