Sold at the upper estimate price
This work without title by Ben Akkerman was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2015. The auction ended at the price of EUR 15,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ben Akkerman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2013 for EUR 39,900.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ben Akkerman wurde im November 2015 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 15.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ben Akkerman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2013 für EUR 39.900,00 versteigert wurde.
