In October this year Christies in New York held the auction Made in Holland: Celebrating 50 Years of Christie’s Amsterdam, which included this untitled work by Ben Akkerman. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 15,120.00 26% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ben Akkerman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2013 for EUR 39,900.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Made in Holland: Celebrating 50 Years of Christie’s Amsterdam durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ben Akkerman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 15.120,00 und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ben Akkerman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2013 für EUR 39.900,00 versteigert wurde.
