The work Deserter by Barnaby Furnas was auctioned at Phillips in New York in June 2021. It achieved a price of USD 40,320.00 (€ 34,031.06), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. Admittedly, works by Barnaby Furnas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hamburger Hill in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 422,500.00 (€ 293,892.60).

Die Arbeit Deserter von Barnaby Furnas kam im Juni 2021 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 40.320,00 (€ 34.031,06) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Barnaby Furnas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hamburger Hill im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 422.500,00 (€ 293.892,60).
