Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2021 Christies in New York held the auction First Open Online: Post War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Red Concert by Barnaby Furnas. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 32,500.00 (€ 28,715.32). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barnaby Furnas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hamburger Hill in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 422,500.00 (€ 293,892.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open Online: Post War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Red Concert von Barnaby Furnas zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 32.500,00 (€ 28.715,32) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Barnaby Furnas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hamburger Hill im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 422.500,00 (€ 293.892,60).
