Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Forms in a Flurry, from Opposing Forms (M. 54, S.A.C. 39) by Barbara Hepworth was auctioned at Phillips in London in June this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,905.00 (€ 2,217.09) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barbara Hepworth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Family of Man: Ancestor II in November this year with an auction result of USD 11,565,000.00 (€ 10,602,310.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Forms in a Flurry, from Opposing Forms (M. 54, S.A.C. 39) von Barbara Hepworth kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.905,00 (€ 2.217,09) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Barbara Hepworth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Family of Man: Ancestor II im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.565.000,00 (€ 10.602.310,23).
