Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fireworks Flashed in the Darkness by Aya Takano was sold in the Contemporary Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 56,700.00 (€ 52,837.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Aya Takano have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sweetness In The Dark (Painted In 2009) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 420,000.00 (€ 428,902.17).

Die Arbeit Fireworks Flashed in the Darkness von Aya Takano wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 56.700,00 (€ 52.837,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aya Takano auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sweetness In The Dark (Painted In 2009) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 420.000,00 (€ 428.902,17).
