Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Atsushi Suwa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2011. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Sleepers sold for HKD 740,000.00 (€ 70,793.13) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Atsushi Suwa; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sleepers sold at auction in May 2014 with the realized price of HKD 1,240,000.00 (€ 117,272.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Atsushi Suwa erzielte im November 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Sleepers für HKD 740.000,00 (€ 70.793,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Atsushi Suwa; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Sleepers im Mai 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.240.000,00 (€ 117.272,73).
