This artwork by Arthur von Ferraris achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October 2007. In the 19th Century European Art and Orientalist Art auction, the work The Blind Man sold for USD 937,000.00 (€ 647,636.16) - well above the upper estimate of USD 400,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Arthur von Ferraris; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Austrian Driving A Bargain, Cairo sold at auction in April 2008 with the realized price of USD 1,049,000.00 (€ 673,818.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Arthur von Ferraris erzielte im Oktober 2007 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art and Orientalist Art wurde die Arbeit The Blind Man für USD 937.000,00 (€ 647.636,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 400.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Arthur von Ferraris; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Austrian Driving A Bargain, Cairo im April 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 1.049.000,00 (€ 673.818,09).
