It achieved a price of GBP 469,250.00 (€ 567,358.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Arthur von Ferraris; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Austrian Driving A Bargain, Cairo sold at auction in April 2008 with the realized price of USD 1,049,000.00 (€ 673,818.09).
