The work Hungarian A Captive Audience, Cairo by Arthur von Ferraris was sold in the European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. It achieved a price of GBP 469,250.00 (€ 567,358.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Arthur von Ferraris; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Austrian Driving A Bargain, Cairo sold at auction in April 2008 with the realized price of USD 1,049,000.00 (€ 673,818.09).

Die Arbeit Hungarian A Captive Audience, Cairo von Arthur von Ferraris wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
