Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2019 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Self portrait by Arthur Segal. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,103.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Segal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work „Selbstporträt“. in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 375,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Self portrait von Arthur Segal zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.103,59) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Segal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit „Selbstporträt“. im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 375.000,00.
