Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Grisebach held the auction Auktionen 222-228 - Photographie, which included the work „Dust Storm, Cimarron County, Oklahoma“. by Arthur Rothstein. The price achieved of EUR 1,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Rothstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Farmer and sons walking in the face of a dust storm, Cimarron County, Oklahoma in April 2001 with an auction result of USD 23,500.00 (€ 26,481.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Grisebach die Auktion Auktionen 222-228 - Photographie durch, in der auch die Arbeit „Dust Storm, Cimarron County, Oklahoma“. von Arthur Rothstein zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Rothstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Farmer and sons walking in the face of a dust storm, Cimarron County, Oklahoma im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.500,00 (€ 26.481,86).
