The »bidding war« ended at GBP 42,500.00 (€ 53,101.72), 70% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arnold Topp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Die Sonne ist gross und gefallen in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 509,000.00 (€ 596,497.76).

Die Arbeit Ohne Titel (Untitled) von Arnold Topp wurde im Juni 2014 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 42.500,00 (€ 53.101,72) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arnold Topp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Die Sonne ist gross und gefallen im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 509.000,00 (€ 596.497,76).
