Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2000 a collector was able to acquire the work Bretonne assise contre un Arbre by Armand Seguin for GBP 940.00 (€ 1,490.02). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master, Modern & Contemporary Prints at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Armand Seguin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les délices de la vie in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 7,737,500.00 (€ 6,630,248.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2000 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Bretonne assise contre un Arbre von Armand Seguin für GBP 940,00 (€ 1.490,02) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master, Modern & Contemporary Prints bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Armand Seguin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les délices de la vie im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.737.500,00 (€ 6.630.248,50).
