Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2008 Christies in London held the auction Post War & Contemporary ArtDay Sale(Afternoon), which included the work Dumb Girl by Antony Micallef. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,705.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antony Micallef - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hobo Angel (Burger King), which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 26,900.00 (€ 36,552.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post War & Contemporary ArtDay Sale(Afternoon) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dumb Girl von Antony Micallef zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.705,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Antony Micallef mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hobo Angel (Burger King) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für GBP 26.900,00 (€ 36.552,54) versteigert wurde.
