In the Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art auction, the work Mirage sold for USD 298,000.00 (€ 267,624.61) - well above the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Antonio Dias; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Free Continent: Natural Richnesses sold at auction in November 2012 with the realized price of USD 434,500.00 (€ 333,973.87).
