In November 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Mirage by Antonio Dias. The »bidding war« ended at USD 161,000.00 (€ 118,330.15), 34% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antonio Dias - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Free Continent: Natural Richnesses, which sold at auction in November 2012 for USD 434,500.00 (€ 333,973.87).

Im November 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mirage von Antonio Dias zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 161.000,00 (€ 118.330,15) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Antonio Dias mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Free Continent: Natural Richnesses beobachtet, die im November 2012 für USD 434.500,00 (€ 333.973,87) versteigert wurde.
