Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART, which included the work Firing a salute by Antonie Waldorp. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 14,340.00 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antonie Waldorp - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A royal barge on a choppy river with slot Loevestein in the background, which sold at auction in October 2001 for EUR 37,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Firing a salute von Antonie Waldorp zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 14.340,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Antonie Waldorp mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A royal barge on a choppy river with slot Loevestein in the background beobachtet, die im Oktober 2001 für EUR 37.600,00 versteigert wurde.
