Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled (Golf) by Anri Sala was auctioned at Phillips in London in June 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,776.44). Admittedly, works by Anri Sala have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ghostgames in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 24,321.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled (Golf) von Anri Sala im Juni 2010 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.776,44) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anri Sala auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ghostgames im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 24.321,86).
