Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Anri Sala could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in November last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Le Jeune, A Collecting Legacy: The Amsterdam No Reserve Edit auction, the work I love you, from Point of View: An Anthology of the Moving Image changed hands for EUR 378.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anri Sala achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ghostgames in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 24,321.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anri Sala konnte im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Le Jeune, A Collecting Legacy: The Amsterdam No Reserve Edit wechselte die Arbeit I love you, from Point of View: An Anthology of the Moving Image für EUR 378,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anri Sala erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ghostgames im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 24.321,86).
