In March this year Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included this untitled work by Anna Weyant. The »bidding war« ended at USD 48,260.00 (€ 44,389.26), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anna Weyant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Falling Woman in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,623,000.00 (€ 1,512,440.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Anna Weyant zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 48.260,00 (€ 44.389,26) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anna Weyant erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Falling Woman im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.623.000,00 (€ 1.512.440,59).
