Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May this year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Unconditional Love by Anna Weyant. Here, the upper estimate of USD 600,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 609,600.00 (€ 572,179.46). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anna Weyant - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Falling Woman, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 1,623,000.00 (€ 1,512,440.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Unconditional Love von Anna Weyant zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 600.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 609.600,00 (€ 572.179,46) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Anna Weyant mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Falling Woman beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 1.623.000,00 (€ 1.512.440,59) versteigert wurde.
