Auction result well in line with expectations
In September last year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War to Present, which included the work Bananas by Anna Weyant. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,900.00 (€ 19,319.23) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anna Weyant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Falling Woman in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,623,000.00 (€ 1,512,440.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War to Present durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bananas von Anna Weyant zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.900,00 (€ 19.319,23) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anna Weyant erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Falling Woman im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.623.000,00 (€ 1.512.440,59).
