Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Nest by Anju Dodiya. The price achieved of GBP 60,500.00 (€ 79,131.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anju Dodiya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cocoon in September last year with an auction result of USD 327,600.00 (€ 334,866.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nest von Anju Dodiya zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 60.500,00 (€ 79.131,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anju Dodiya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cocoon im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 334.866,61).
