Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Campbell'S Soup Box: Chicken Rice by Andy Warhol was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2015. Here, the upper estimate of USD 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 334,000.00 (€ 316,227.99). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Campbell'S Soup Box: Chicken Rice von Andy Warhol kam im November 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 300.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 334.000,00 (€ 316.227,99) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shot Sage Blue Marilyn im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 195.040.000,00 (€ 181.753.797,41).
