A top price for Andy Goldsworthy
In February 2005 Christies in London held the auction POST-WAR AND CONTEMPORARY DAY SALE, which included the work (i) British Museum (Stonework) (ii) Stonework by Andy Goldsworthy. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 28,800.00 (€ 41,763.69), 44% above the upper estimate. With this result, (i) British Museum (Stonework) (ii) Stonework is even the most expensive work of art by Andy Goldsworthy that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Februar 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion POST-WAR AND CONTEMPORARY DAY SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit (i) British Museum (Stonework) (ii) Stonework von Andy Goldsworthy zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 28.800,00 (€ 41.763,69) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist (i) British Museum (Stonework) (ii) Stonework sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Andy Goldsworthy, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
