Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Garden of Stones, Museum of Jewish Heritage, New York by Andy Goldsworthy was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,147.50 (€ 1,281.86) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Goldsworthy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work (i) British Museum (Stonework) (ii) Stonework in February 2005 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 41,763.69).
