The work White Tree by Andro Wekua was auctioned at Phillips in London in February 2013. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,423.35) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andro Wekua - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Workshop Report (Full Portfolio), which sold at auction in October 2014 for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 44,689.94).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit White Tree von Andro Wekua kam im Februar 2013 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.423,35) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Andro Wekua mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Workshop Report (Full Portfolio) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für GBP 35.000,00 (€ 44.689,94) versteigert wurde.
