Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Andro Wekua was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,842.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Andro Wekua have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Workshop Report (Full Portfolio) in October 2014 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 44,689.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Andro Wekua kam im September 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.842,64) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andro Wekua auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Workshop Report (Full Portfolio) im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 44.689,94).
