Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2014 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Black Sea (Silence) by Andro Wekua. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,374.45). Admittedly, works by Andro Wekua have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Workshop Report (Full Portfolio) in October 2014 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 44,689.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Black Sea (Silence) von Andro Wekua zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.374,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andro Wekua auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Workshop Report (Full Portfolio) im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 44.689,94).
