Auction result well in line with expectations
The work New York, Stock Exchange by Andreas Gursky was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 453,600.00 (€ 422,700.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Andreas Gursky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 99 Cent Ii, Diptych in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,700,000.00 (€ 2,520,188.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit New York, Stock Exchange von Andreas Gursky kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 453.600,00 (€ 422.700,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andreas Gursky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 99 Cent Ii, Diptych im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.700.000,00 (€ 2.520.188,96).
