This artwork by André Cadere achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2018. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Round Bar Of Wood (A 00102030) sold for USD 150,000.00 (€ 121,753.25) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by André Cadere; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Barre de bois rond A 00321040 sold at auction in October 2019 with the realized price of EUR 237,500.00.

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von André Cadere; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Barre de bois rond A 00321040 im Oktober 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 237.500,00.
