Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Day Auction, which included the work R A S A A N (Midnight Series) by Amani Lewis. It changed hands for a price of USD 75,600.00 (€ 70,450.10) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Other works by Amani Lewis have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March last year the work For Angela and her kin...in the garden (NITT edition) was auctioned for GBP 94,500.00 (€ 112,040.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit R A S A A N (Midnight Series) von Amani Lewis zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 75.600,00 (€ 70.450,10) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Amani Lewis konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März letzten Jahres die Arbeit For Angela and her kin...in the garden (NITT edition) für GBP 94.500,00 (€ 112.040,39) versteigert.
