When the work Untitled (Thread Drawing) by Alyson Shotz was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2016, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 4,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than five times as high at USD 23,750.00 (€ 22,452.26). This high result makes Untitled (Thread Drawing) the most expensive artwork by Alyson Shotz that we have observed at auctions so far.
