Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Young Friend at Ellie Dorfman's Home, 1985 by Allen Ginsberg. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,361.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Allen Ginsberg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected images of Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs, Neal Cassady and Peter Orlovsky, 1953-1957 in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 27,598.17).
