Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jack Kerouac on Fire Escape by Allen Ginsberg was sold in the Photographs auction at Bonhams in New York in October 2021. The price achieved of USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,759.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allen Ginsberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected images of Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs, Neal Cassady and Peter Orlovsky, 1953-1957 in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 27,598.17).
