Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Sothebys in Paris held the auction In the Studio of Paolo Roversi, which included the work Robert Frank photographing Allen Ginsberg for Collected Poems 1947-1980 dust-jacket, Robert Frank studio, 1984 by Allen Ginsberg. The price achieved of EUR 5,040.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Allen Ginsberg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected images of Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs, Neal Cassady and Peter Orlovsky, 1953-1957 in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 27,598.17).
