A top price for Allen Ginsberg - as previously expected
The work Selected images of Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs, Neal Cassady and Peter Orlovsky, 1953-1957 by Allen Ginsberg was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 35,000.00 (€ 27,598.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Selected images of Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs, Neal Cassady and Peter Orlovsky, 1953-1957 is the most expensive artwork by Allen Ginsberg that we have observed at auctions so far.
