The work The Kiss by Alfred Wertheimer was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April 2010. The auction ended at the price of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,758.83), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Wertheimer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elvis Presley. Twenty One Studies, 1956, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 11,377.10).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.758,83) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred Wertheimer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elvis Presley. Twenty One Studies, 1956 beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 11.377,10) versteigert wurde.
