Sold at the upper estimate price
The work The Kiss by Alfred Wertheimer was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April 2010. The auction ended at the price of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,758.83), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Wertheimer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elvis Presley. Twenty One Studies, 1956, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 11,377.10).

Die Arbeit The Kiss von Alfred Wertheimer kam im April 2010 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.758,83) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred Wertheimer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elvis Presley. Twenty One Studies, 1956 beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 11.377,10) versteigert wurde.
