Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Elvis Presley by Alfred Wertheimer was sold in the Classic & Contemporary Photographs auction at Bonhams in April this year. The price achieved of USD 1,530.00 (€ 1,385.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred Wertheimer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elvis Presley. Twenty One Studies, 1956 in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 11,377.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Elvis Presley von Alfred Wertheimer wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Classic & Contemporary Photographs bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.530,00 (€ 1.385,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred Wertheimer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elvis Presley. Twenty One Studies, 1956 im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 11.377,10).
