In June 2010 Phillips in New York held the auction FILM, which included the work The Kiss by Alfred Wertheimer. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,254.41), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Wertheimer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elvis Presley. Twenty One Studies, 1956, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 11,377.10).

Im Juni 2010 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion FILM durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Kiss von Alfred Wertheimer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.254,41) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred Wertheimer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elvis Presley. Twenty One Studies, 1956 beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 11.377,10) versteigert wurde.
