Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hold Me Tight by Alfred Wertheimer was sold in the PHOTOGRAPHS auction at Phillips in New York in April 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,125.00 (€ 2,349.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alfred Wertheimer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elvis Presley. Twenty One Studies, 1956 in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 11,377.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hold Me Tight von Alfred Wertheimer wurde im April 2010 in der Auktion PHOTOGRAPHS bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.125,00 (€ 2.349,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred Wertheimer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elvis Presley. Twenty One Studies, 1956 im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 11.377,10).
