Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2003 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES, which included the work A river valley by Alfred H. Vickers. The price achieved of GBP 587.50 (€ 818.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred H. Vickers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The ferry in May 2003 with an auction result of GBP 4,935.00 (€ 6,875.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A river valley von Alfred H. Vickers zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 587,50 (€ 818,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred H. Vickers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The ferry im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.935,00 (€ 6.875,70).
