In December 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Loggers by Alexis de Leeuw. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,062.50 (€ 1,272.49), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alexis de Leeuw have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Winter scene in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 6,110.00 (€ 9,722.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Loggers von Alexis de Leeuw zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.062,50 (€ 1.272,49) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexis de Leeuw auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Winter scene im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.110,00 (€ 9.722,93).
