Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Art, which included the work The sleigh driver by Alexis de Leeuw. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Alexis de Leeuw have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2001 the work Winter scene was auctioned for GBP 6,110.00 (€ 9,722.93).

Im November 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The sleigh driver von Alexis de Leeuw zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Alexis de Leeuw konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2001 die Arbeit Winter scene für GBP 6.110,00 (€ 9.722,93) versteigert.
